Unintended pregnancy? Contact the clinic as soon as possible for an appointment

You will recieve information about your options as well as a referal for treatment at a hospital or private gynecologist.

You will get 3 pregnancy examinations/appointments at the clinic during the pregnancy and 1 examination aprox. 8 weeks after giving birth. 


REMEMBER: Please, arrive in the clinic 10-15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Before every pregnancy examination you have to give a urine sample. There are white plastic cups for the urine sample on the tray-wagon at the toilets. 

Place the urine sample, marked with your name and date of birth, in the cabinet for urine samples above the tray-wagon. 


1. pregnancy examination/appointment week 7-9

Book your appointment for the first examination, when you are in pregnancy week 7-9. The first part of the examination is with a nurse, midwife or younger doctor. 

What does the first examination include?

  • Check of blood pressure
  • Urine sample
  • Blood sample
  • Weight
  • Fill out pregnancy papers for the hospital

You will get another appointment for the following week, where you will get the result of the blood tests and we will fill out the remaining part of the pregnancy papers. 


Neck fold (nuchal fold) scan: 

You have to book the appointment yourself. Link for booking.


Midwife consultation:

You will get an appointment from the hospital where you are due to give birth. You will receive the appointment in your E-boks.  The appointment is usually at week 14. 


2. Pregnancy examination week 25

What does the second examination include?

  • Check of blood pressure
  • Urine sample
  • Maybe a blood sample
  • Weight
  • Measurement of the uterus
  • Whooping cough vaccination


3. Pregnancy examination week 32

What does the thirds examination include?

  • Check of blood pressure
  • Urine sample
  • Maybe a blood sample
  • Weight
  • Measurement of the uterus.


Vaccines

All pregnant women are offered vaccines against influenza and covid in the autumn and winter months (1st October 2022 - 15th January 2023).  

The health authorities recommend vaccine against whooping cough in pregnancy week 24-32. The vaccine is offered until the 31st of March 2023.
